January 2018

Below is our tentative schedule. It's not everything we had, but it will definitely meet our needs for the time being. I sincerely want to thank everyone that came out on Friday night for our first official class at our new location. For those of you that wanted to be there but couldn't, thank you as well for your thoughts and prayers for what turned out to be a very successful evening. I hope that all of you can see the huge potential our new location holds!

As I have mentioned to you in previous emails, the ability for ESA to acquire this facility in less than 30 days since our notice from the Y, is literally a small miracle. As I have also mentioned, we must share this space with a Jazzercise group that has been hosting classes in this facility for over 10 years. I have agreed to work around their schedule which leaves us with about 2/3rds of our previous scheduled classes. Again, I am asking for your patience and understanding moving forward, as I am still working with the leader of the Jazzercise group in regards to the "buffer" that is necessary or required between ESA classes and Jazzercise classes. Patience will be the key as we navigate through the next several months.

Here is our new schedule of classes: Monday and Wednesday- 5:00 - 5:45 am - Cardio 6:15 - 7:15 am - Adult TKD All ranks 4:00 - 5:00 pm - Children's class 7:15- 8:15 pm - TKD all ranks and ages Tuesday 5:45 - 6:45 pm - TKD all ranks and ages 7:00 - 8:00 pm - TKD all ranks and ages Thursday 7:15 - 8:15 pm - TKD all ranks and ages Friday 5:45 - 6:45 pm - TKD Cardio Conditioning all ranks and ages Saturday 10:15 - 11:45 am - TKD all ranks and ages The 7:15 pm starting time is subject to change based on the "buffer" that the Jazzercise class needs between their sessions on Monday and Thursdays. The Jazzercise class runs from 5:30- 6:30, but they are contracted to have the room until 7:00 pm. Thursday night when I went to drop off the bags, the Jazzercise group was done at 6:30 and out by 6:40 pm, so we might still be able to start the Monday and Thursday sessions at 7:00 pm rather than 7:15 pm.

Obviously there are some changes in our scheduled class times, but many of the hours that we had before, are still available. The biggest changes are the Monday night class that usually started at 5:45 pm, but will now begin at 7:15 with the hopes that we can begin at 7:00 based on my previous paragraph. Thursday's are minus the 5:45 class and a 7:15 start time for our second class, and Saturday's have been moved to a start time of 10:15 and only go for 1 1/2 hours until 11:45 rather than the 2 hour sessions we use to offer. A slight change in the children's class time had us moving the start time back from 4:30 to 4:00 pm.

For the next couple of months, until we get squared away, there will be no designation of classes (beginning, intermediate, advanced and family) and everyone will be invited to attend whatever class time works best for them. For the next couple of months we will focus on an early March belt promotion test for all ranks. With no designation of classes, and with the size of our training space almost 3 times what we had at the Y, we will be able to split off into groups and focus on respective needs. Currently, we are unable to use our flooring system. I am working with the Jazzercise group to find out if we can put our puzzle mats down on a permanent basis. I am positive that they will embrace the idea. Because we will not have mats for the immediate future, I suggest that everyone where either TKD shoes or a pair of your running and/or cross training shoes. We do have an aerobic floor on top of a concrete surface, but for some of you, it will be a little tough on your feet.

For those of you who are unaware of the location of the new facility here is the address. Horizon Community Church, 2121 East Dad Clark Drive, Highlands Ranch CO, 80126. The entrance to the facility is the West End, Lower Level Entrance. Look for the sidewalk on the western most side of the building and follow the sidewalk down to the entry door. Upon entry, you will follow the hallway down a long corridor with the male/female changing/bath rooms on your left. If you arrive early please be courteous to the Jazzercise group and maintain a high level of courtesy with everyone you come in contact with to start our relationship on a good foot.

Currently, there is a Platte River Elementary Satellite Homeschool program with classrooms and teachers that host classes until 3:15 pm. I am going to work very hard to try and develop a TKD Homeschool Program during the afternoon hours as we had at the Y. More news on the front later on. Tomorrow is the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. National Holiday. We will host the early morning classes ( 5am and 6:15 am ),but will not host the children's 4:00 pm class and the 7:15 TKD All Ranks Class in lieu of the Holiday.

Thank you all for your patience, understanding and Loyalty during the many transitions we are going through at ESA! The future looks brighter than ever! Kindest regards, Mr. Gallagher
